The MEAM , the European Museum of Modern Art , opened its doors in 2011 and is located in the old Palacio Gomis , in the heart of Barcelona .
The palace was completely renovated in 1792 by the cloth merchant Gomis, from whom it takes its name.
The MEAM European Museum of Modern Art was founded by José Manuel Infiesta , an architect and property developer, and over time it has become a point of reference within the urban landscape capable of building a direct and sincere relationship between the visitor and art.

The museum preserves works of painting and sculpture made in all kinds of materials and techniques in both painting and sculpture: oil, watercolor, marble, bronze, paper, cardboard, wood, polyester resins, terracotta . There are more than 1000 works, more than 300 artists from all over the world.
