Opened to the public on 25 March 2019, the Casamonti Collection set up on the Piano Nobile of Palazzo Bartolini Salimbeni, a historic Renaissance architectural masterpiece by Baccio d'Agnolo, has been completely renovated.

In the first year of opening, masterpieces from the first half of the twentieth century were exhibited in Palazzo Salimbeni, welcomed with great interest by the public and critics. What is now being revealed is the art of the second part of the century and the proposals are confirmed to be at the level of the major museum institutions active in this field.

The list of artists present here is textbook. Wanting to identify them by movements, we start with Arte Povera from Penone, Ceroli, Zorio, Merz, Pistoletto, Kounellis, Gilardi, Boetti, Calzolari up to Pascali. While Biasi, Colombo and Bury testify to Kinetic or Programmed Art. Agnetti and Paolini, Conceptual Art.
