The fifth appointment of Francesco Jodice's Come and See project entitled Save Your Selfie opens on April 20th at 11 am at the AGO Foundation. The last stage of the project will be inaugurated by the President of FMAV and AGO Foundation Donatella Pieri , by the Mayor of Modena Gian Carlo Muzzarelli , by Emiro Endrighi , University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, by Matteo Tiezzi , President of the Modena Foundation, together with the artist and curator. Starting from an open call promoted by AGO Modena Fabbriche Culturali, fifteen girls and boys between the ages of 15 and 19 took part, from 29 September to 1 October 2023, in the "Save Your Selfie" workshop with the artist Francesco Jodice.

The interaction between the artist and the workshop participants gave life to the series of works that can be seen on the AGO construction site from 20 April 2024. Visual rendering of the photographic performance organized by the artist with the children. in the square in front of the former Sant'Agostino hospital, the exhibition, explains Lorenzo Respi who curates the project together with Chiara Dall'Olio, "introduces some highly topical themes and issues - including digital, new technologies, the narratives of young generations - which testify to the relationship between man and artificial intelligence, between perception of reality and imagination, between object and desire. It was not a simple photographic set on the road, but a large participatory caravan, distantly indebted to Pier Paolo Pasolini's "Love Meetings", which recorded the desires, grievances, passions, fears, emotions and perspectives of the girls and boys self-portraits".

The young participants in the project in fact took self-portraits with the help of Francesco Jodice. Subsequently, through artificial intelligence, they lowered their selfies into a virtual reality scenario - a post-atomic city, a comic book, a comfortable interior, a videogame scenography - aided by the experts from FEM Future Education Modena and Studio Jodice. The images thus composed tell the story of some of the reference imaginaries of the new generations through the skin of AGO Modena Fabbriche Culturali.
