The FRAC - Regional Fund for Contemporary Art of Brittany, a leading institution in western France created by the State and the Regional Council of Brittany in 1981, has been based since 2012 in a building designed by the French architect Odile Decq in the heart of Beauregard park in Rennes. Its collection of contemporary art, recognized on a regional, national and international level, now numbers more than 5,000 works.
Through an ambitious program of exhibitions, dissemination and documentation of the collection as well as numerous devices intended for the public, Frac Bretagne questions the future of the institution, in the light of the legitimate aspirations of our contemporary society.
