European Cultural Centre

Since its establishment in 2002, the European Cultural Centre (ECC) has become an important institution in the field of contemporary art, architecture and design.
The ECC aims to be an open platform for artists, architects and universities from all six continents to present their works and thoughts through a variety of media, in order to create dynamic exhibition spaces that show the interchanging of ideas from different cultures.
The ECC Italy, based in Venice at Palazzo Mora, Palazzo Bembo and the Giardini della Marinaressa, organizes and hosts in its locations a contemporary art exhibition project, PERSONAL STRUCTURES, which alternates each year with the architecture exhibition TIME SPACE EXISTENCE.
Alongside its prominent biennial exhibitions, the European Cultural Centre also offers comprehensive educational programs through the European Cultural Academy (ECA) and hosts every year the ECC Award Ceremony, created to reward an artist, an architect, a designer or a University who showcased a work or project considered of significant meaning.
Besides the catalogue of each exhibition, the ECC periodically publishes books about its symposia and special contemporary art and architecture projects, together with the TIME SPACE EXISTENCE interview series and other videos dedicated to its locations and exhibitions.

TIME SPACE EXISTENCE features completed and ongoing projects, innovative proposals, and utopian dreams of architectural expressions. Through a wide selection of projects ranging from conceptual works, models, photographs, videos, sculptures, to site specific installations, each room will provide visitors information and inspiration on our surroundings.
By bringing together a diverse group of participants working across disciplines, the European Cultural Centre aims at stimulating an exchange among architects, universities, legendary masters, emerging studios, established global practices, designers, artists, photographers, developers, engineering companies, who together can have a crucial role in shaping the future of our living.
In addition, the European Cultural Centre presents the TIME SPACE EXISTENCE series,  a special collection of video interviews featuring masters in architecture. Ricardo Bofill, Balkrishna Doshi, Bjarke Ingels, Odile Decq, Toshiko Mori, and many others will explore the fundamental topics of time, space and existence through their personal and professional perspectives.
