The show

On Saturday 8 June, at the Mandralisca Museum in Cefalù, the exhibition "Scoprici, Antonello da Messina. Two portraits for Cefalù", curated by Prof. Giovanni Carlo Federico Villa, will open to the public.
For the first time in Cefalù, and until November 26 of this year, a non-Sicilian work by Antonello da Messina will be exhibited in the Mandralisca Art Gallery: in fact, the Portrait of a Man from the Mandralisca collection, on his return to Cefalù from the great exhibition in Milan, will be in the company of the Portrait of a Man - Malaspina , from the collection of the Civic Museums of Pavia. The two portraits, inserted in a path created and wanted by Prof. Giovanni Carlo Federico Villa, look at each other and whoever observes them discovers that they are the result of the genius of the Sicilian painter. The importance of "Discover": the two portraits are created by the same hand, yet they are so different; after all, different are the moods, the way of feeling, which Antonello, more than any other artist, was able to translate and transfer in his works.
