closed Dignity. Ganmarco Taietti

The show

The Luciana Matalon Foundation is pleased to host the first solo exhibition of photography by Gianmarco Taietti from 18 to 28 September.
"Dignity" is a story in images made up of eighteen shots that have the man in his working dimension as the protagonist. From the United States to Indonesia, passing through Italy, Romania, Croatia, Holland and many other places, Gianmarco's gaze returns with depth and precision moments of daily life and personality ennobled by manual activities less and less present in the our contemporary society. His black and white photographs combine the mastery of photographic language with the documentation of the living and working conditions of men, unexpectedly capturing the subjects in real and spontaneous situations.

Extraordinary architect of light and shadow, Gianmarco makes eternal moments that otherwise would be only the fleeting glance of a passer-by. Each journey is in its essence movement, not only geographical but also spiritual. His personal journey is summed up in the concepts of research, discovery, observation and above all photography.

GIANMARCO TAIETTI

Born in Milan in 1971, he graduated in painting from the Brera Academy of Fine Arts. During his university years he was fascinated by the dark room and became passionate about photography. In June 2019 he collaborates as assistant to Livio Moiana for a series of portraits, also taking back stage photographs. In the same month, on the occasion of the exhibition "A mano a mano" held at the Floriano Bodini Civic Museum in Gemonio, he exhibited a series of photographs that tell of Samuele Arcangioli's project to pay homage to "Il lamento sull'ucciso", a sculptural group of 1961 placed in the center of the museum courtyard. Eclectic and creative, Gianmarco Taietti also exercises his talent successfully in the fields of graphics and communication.
