closed David Cronenberg. Red cars

The show

The exhibition traces in 200 images the plates of the artist's book created by director David Cronenberg in 2005 for Volumina.
In these tables we find rare photographs taken from the Ferrari archive, engine splits, vintage images, Formula 1 car projects and models, portraits, versions and achievements of the icon of planetary fame, the Prancing Horse, symbols and other suggestions report at the 1961 Monza Grand Prix, when Ferrari driver Phil Hill contends with his team-mate Wolfgang von Trips the title of world champion in Formula 1.
The exhibition, promoted by the Municipality of Lissone, transports visitors inside of events that really happened recreated by the magic of Cronenberg.

The two pilots are very different. Hill is an individualist, a "Yankee" who approaches each race with neurotic passion; von Trips instead is an aristocrat who runs in Formula 1 with grace and lightness. Both have the same obsession: they want to leave a remembrance of their greatness to posterity.
