The show

The Municipality of Ravenna , the Department of Culture and the MAR - Museum of Art of the City of Ravenna, present the solo exhibition Paolo Roversi - Studio Luce , dedicated to the great photographer from Ravenna. Created with the precious contribution of Christian Dior Couture, Dauphin and Pirelli, main sponsor, the exhibition will be held from 10 October 2020 to 10 January 2021.

The exhibition is spread over the three exhibition floors of the MAR and includes many different images, in a series of surprising juxtapositions and overlaps. To open the path, the first fashion photographs and the portraits of friends and artists such as Robert Frank and Peter Lindbergh that alternate with still life of stools collected in the street and images that portray Deardorff, the camera with which Roversi has always shot. The author showcases his most recent works: a selection from the Pirelli 2020 calendar and a series of unpublished fashion shots, exhibited here for the first time, the result of decades of work for brands such as DIOR and COMME des GARÇONS and magazines such as Vogue Italy, in a sequence that reaches the most recent editorials. Open to the public from 10 October 2020 to 10 January 2021, the exhibition coincides with the publication of a collector's volume of the same name, the exhibition catalog.
