The show

Museion presents, for the first time in Italy, the collection of the famous Norwegian explorer Erling Kagge. A selection of over sixty works including paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures traces a fascinating journey from Oslo to Bolzano between artists more and less known to the general public. A special section of the exhibition, dedicated to Raymond Pettibon, brings together the works from the Kagge and Museion Collections.

Museion opens the autumn season with “WALKING. Movements North of Bolzano ”the exhibition on the private collection of Erling Kagge, a famous Norwegian explorer, but also an art lover, internationally renowned author and independent publisher. Museion has entered into this multiplicity of interests and vocations, inviting Erling Kagge to curate an exhibition on the most significant artistic positions, which have influenced him over the years. For the occasion, Kagge has selected over 60 works by 30 artists from Northern Europe (including paintings, drawings, photographs and sculptures) in a fascinating journey from Oslo to Bolzano.
