Museo MAN

MAN is a permanent public institution, the only one of its kind in Sardinia, devoted to the study, conservation and promotion of modern and contemporary art. The museum pursues its cultural objectives through multiple activities, carried out both within the museum and on the territory: realization of exhibition projects dedicated to contemporary visual languages and art history from the nineteenth to the twenty-first century, enhancement of the treasured heritage ( the Sardinian art collection from the twentieth century to today), the development of training, mediation and teaching programs for all levels of the public. a space for production and communication where memory and innovation, research and dissemination, global thinking and local action coexist.

The MAN collection is the result of a careful selection of works by Sardinian artists from the late nineteenth century to the present day. A corpus of about 600 works, in continuous growth, which includes the most important authors in the history of Sardinian art, including Antonio Ballero, Giuseppe Biasi, Francesco Ciusa, Mario Delitala, Carmelo Floris, Maria Lai, Mauro Manca , Costantino Nivola and many others.
