Description

The tomb, discovered in 1848 in Trezzo sull’Adda, included various objects of great value, both male and female. The situla, in bronze foil, is decorated with a frieze representing dogs chasing deer and fawns, recalls the theme of hunting as a typically aristocratic entertainment activity. The artifact is part of a production that characterizes the First Iron Age in northern Italy and in the central-eastern Alpine area.
