The Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam is the national museum of the Netherlands. It tells the story of 800 years of Dutch history, from 1200 to today . In addition, it organizes several exhibitions a year from our collection and with (inter) national loans.
The museum has the largest collection of Dutch Golden Age paintings and a sizeable collection of Asian art.
Inside the Rijksmuseum is the largest public library dealing with art history in the Netherlands.
Among the main works, the museum includes those of Jan Steen, Rembrandt Harmenszoon Van Rijn, Jacob Van Ruisdael, Jan Vermeer, Frans Hals, Hercules Sanders and others.
