Next to the Capitolium stands the Roman theater, one of the largest in northern Italy, with a capacity of about 15,000 spectators. It was used until late antiquity (late 4th - early 5th century AD) then, between the 11th and 12th centuries, the scene collapsed, probably due to an earthquake and the building became an open-air quarry from which stones were removed. from construction.

Under Casa Pallaveri and the Capitoline temple the structures of a sanctuary dating back to the first decades of the 1st century BC have been partially preserved. It is a cultural complex consisting of four large rectangular classrooms placed side by side on a common podium, each with an independent entrance and a pronaos (portico with columns) for access, within a terrace overlooking the decumanus. This monument, unique in the archaeological panorama of northern Italy, is attributable to high-level workers from central Italy, called to build a building in Brescia that would demonstrate the city's adherence to the cultural model of Rome, on the occasion of the granting of the Latin law (89 BC), as evidenced by its marvelous frescoes, a rare example of Roman republican painting in northern Italy.

The Capitolium was the main temple of every Roman city, a tangible sign of Brixia's belonging to the Roman empire and culture. In it the "Capitoline triad" was venerated, the main divinities of the Latin pantheon: Jupiter, Juno and Minerva. Built in the space between the decumanus maximus and the Cidneo hill, in the center of a terrace raised above the forum, and inaugurated in 73 AD. at the behest of Emperor Vespasian, the original floors in polychrome marble slabs, pieces of furniture and sculptures can still be admired from the Capitolium. In the central hall there is still part of the exhibition that dates back to 1830 when, at the end of the excavation campaign, the Museo Patrio, the first civic museum in the city, was inaugurated between the walls of the partially reconstructed temple. The Capitolium of Brescia represents a unique case in the panorama of northern Italy not only for its exceptional degree of conservation but also for the possibility of being able to enter and immerse yourself in the ancient atmosphere that still characterizes it.

The Capitolium, the main temple of every Roman city, the very symbol of the culture of Rome, built in 73 AD, houses one of the most extraordinary statues of the Roman era: the Winged Victory. The large bronze statue, symbol of the city of Brescia, loved by Giosuè Carducci who celebrated it in the ode to Victory, admired by Gabriele d'Annunzio and Napoleon III who wanted a copy of it, is one of the most important works of Rome for composition, material and conservation, and one of the few Roman bronzes from excavations that have come down to us. The subject of an important restoration project, which lasted two years and conducted by the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence, the Vittoria Alata is set up in the eastern cell of the Capitolium, in a museum exhibition curated by the Spanish architect Juan Navarro Baldeweg, conceived to enhance the material and formal characteristics highlighted by the complex restoration action. The Winged Victory thus returns to the place of its discovery: in 1826 it was found, together with six imperial heads and hundreds of other bronze finds, inside two walls of the ancient Capitoline Temple.
