The decorative scheme, similar to that of the Throne Room, is attributable to the ideas of Domenico Parodi, while the execution was carried out by workers from Italian-speaking Switzerland. The decorations, such as the central head surmounted by an element that takes up the wavy surface of a shell, find similarities with some details of the Sala delle Battaglie. As regards the chronology, the vault of the Sala del Veronese should also rotate around the middle of the fourth decade of the eighteenth century, probably part of the same renovation program decided by Gerolamo Ignazio Durazzo on the occasion of the wedding of his daughter Maria Maddalena with his cousin Marcellino in 1734. However, this is a proposal that relies largely on stylistic observations, without any documentary confirmation having yet come to shed light on the issue, therefore destined for future verification.
