Kyoji Nagatani (1950) represents an extraordinary artistic bridge between Japan and Italy, where he has lived for over forty years choosing Milan as his adopted city. Arriving in Italy in 1978, he graduated from the Brera Academy in 1984. His Italian grand tour led him to engage with masters such as Arnaldo Pomodoro, Giacomo Manzù, Emilio Greco, and Giuliano Vangi, blending the essential Japanese sensibility with the elegance and style of the Lombard sculptural tradition that ranges from bronze to porcelain. This testifies to a deep and fruitful dialogue between two cultures, generating a unique and recognizable sculptural language.
