The show

The exhibition combines photography and writing in a relationship of resonance and intersubjectivity. Nicola Baldazzi's photographs , a collection of finds collected during nocturnal wanderings, could be the memories of a sleepless person, descriptive elements of familiar and surreal places at the same time, images poised between the dream and the document. Only a small source of light - an idea, a swarm of fireflies, the light of the moon - accompanies the writings of Veronica Lanconelli , very short and independent stories where nothing really begins or ends and the scenes described emerge. , similarly to what happens in photographs, from an indeterminate background that the reader-spectator is not given to know. Illuminazioni is a collection of small family oddities, modest metaphysical reflections, potential stories, a wandering without a goal or guide, behind the house, among one's thoughts, groping in the darkness.

Nicola Baldazzi (photographer) and Veronica Lanconelli (writer and curator) studied photography with Guido Guidi. They have been collaborating for years on photography and writing projects. Together they published He didn't believe me (2018) and Piccolo handbook of signage photography (2013), both published by the photographic observatory, independent publishing house and cultural association founded by Cesare Fabbri and Silvia Loddo of which they are part. Their books have been exhibited at Livre Circulations (2016), Athens Photo Festival (2016), Fahrenheit 39 (2017), Les Rencontres d'Arles (2018).
