From the Prado of Madrid the Portrait of Queen Maria Anna of Austria arrives in Carrara , one of the last masterpieces of the “painter of painters” - according to Édouard Manet - Velázquez (1599-1660).
The large canvas, which portrays the queen with the symbols of the House of Habsburg, typical of official portraits, allows you to appreciate the mastery of the last Velázquez and provides an opportunity to deepen one of the undisputed protagonists of European painting - also thanks to the dialogue with works from the museum collection.
