From 17 January to 22 March 2026
The Civic Museums of Ancient Art of the Civic Museums Sector of the Municipality of Bologna are pleased to welcome in the halls of the Medieval Civic Museum the exhibition "Ornament is no longer a crime," a personal exhibition by Alessandro Moreschini, curated by Raffaele Quattrone and realized in collaboration with Ehiweb and Pasöt.
Open from January 17, 2026, to March 22, 2026, the exhibition project is part of the institutional program of ART CITY Bologna 2026 (February 5-8), a schedule of exhibitions, events, and initiatives promoted by the Municipality of Bologna in collaboration with BolognaFiere on the occasion of Arte Fiera.
For some time, Alessandro Moreschini (Castel San Pietro Terme, 1966) has chosen a secluded and rigorous path, far from the rhetoric of strict minimalism and the promises of hypertechnology: a path where ornament is not an addition but a thought; not a mask but a revelation. His worked surfaces - meticulous, vegetal, hyperdecorative patterns - do not cover objects: they transform them. They are breathing presences, silent microcosms capable of insinuating themselves into the interstices of the visible and returning unexpected energy, an internal vibration to everyday objects.
