The Musée du Vin et du Negoce is a Bordeaux museum dedicated to the historic production of wine in Bordeaux and its trade. It is located in a royal court building dating back to the reign of Louis XV. The wad-vaulted cellars, built in 1720, trace the history of wine production and the work of the city's coopers, up to the time of its trade all over the world. The stages of wine production are represented: the harvested and processed grapes were initially placed in a vat, and then placed in the barrels of the cellars. Inside the museum it is also possible to see various objects related to the production of wine, explained through explanatory panels. The museum also offers the possibility of tasting Bordeaux wines with related explanations.
