The Vorarlberg Museum (formerly Vorarlberger Landesmuseum) is the state museum of art and culture in Bregenz.
Inside, there are testimonies of local art and culture, preserved and made accessible to the public. The museum's guiding theme is the history of Vorarlberg from a past and future perspective.
The collections include archaeological finds, artworks from various historical periods, and ethnological cultural assets of Vorarlberg. Paintings, drawings, graphic works, photographs, sculptures, room installations, and craft objects reflect the artistic creativity of individual eras, from the Middle Ages to contemporary times. The section on European ethnology comprises a collection of traditional costumes and fabrics, prints and models, toys, and artifacts from rural, industrial, and artisanal culture. The museum also houses a specialized library with approximately 30,000 volumes.
