The show

Palazzo Monti presents the third edition of Pazzo Palazzo, a collective exhibition celebrating the residency program for artists. The rhetorical-lexical wording Pazzo Palazzo recalls the eclectic personalities who make up, animate and are part of the building, thus giving rise to the title. On this occasion, the exhibition presents the works of six artists who participated in the residency during the first semester of 2023. The program represents a unique opportunity for artists to deepen their artistic practice and to explore new creative frontiers thanks to the collaboration and to the exchange of knowledge between colleagues during their stay. Pazzo Palazzo therefore wants to be a celebration of the intercultural exchange and creativity that develops between the different artists. Since 2017, Palazzo Monti has hosted over 250 artists from 50 countries around the world, representing an opportunity for artistic growth and development through multiple techniques and artistic practices such as painting, photography, sculpture, visual and performing arts, and the design.

This year's exhibition, featuring works by John Fou, Martín Kazanietz, Murat Önen, Ricardo Partida, Tom Prinsell and Brianna Rose Brooks, is testament to the success of the residency programme. The works presented celebrate the result of the encounter between different voices and cultures, promoting continuous and borderless artistic growth.

Edoardo Monti, founder of Palazzo Monti, underlines how the building changes its appearance and its soul every time new guests arrive to participate in the residency program. Thanks to their contribution, Palazzo Monti is increasingly enriched by a living and constantly evolving intangible cultural heritage made up of experiences, memories and connections between the people who have lived there over the years.

Pazzo Palazzo therefore represents a precious opportunity to learn about and admire the history and cultural relevance of Palazzo Monti, savoring the intangible cultural heritage characterized by the energies and memories that have animated the Palazzo over the last six months.
