The Museum and Library of Hungarian Agriculture (Magyar Mezőgazdasági Múzeum), located in the picturesque Vajdahunyad Castle in Városliget (City Park), is the largest museum dedicated to agriculture in Europe, founded in 1896 as part of the Hungarian Millennial Exhibition and housed in the castle reconstructed between 1901 and 1907 by the architect Ignác Alpár.
The museum hosts nine permanent sections that illustrate every aspect of Hungarian agricultural life: from animal domestication to viticulture, from forestry to fishing, to horse breeding and Hungarian flora. The collection of hunting trophies (deer, stag, wild boar) is remarkable, including specimens registered at a world level. Inside, there are models, historical agricultural tools, botanical models, and interactive installations.
The museum also hosts temporary exhibitions on topics such as the food industry and livestock, thematic courses, guided tours in English, French, German, and a panoramic experience from the castle tower, as part of the historical tour.
