The fresco of the Diver, in addition to being at the center of a very controversial scientific debate, is the ancient image that more than any other has inspired contemporary artists, sculptors, writers and poets.
The exhibition tells about 300 years of archaeological discoveries and reinterpretations of the ancient that explain why the Tomb of the Diver cannot be explained.
