The CIAC - Italian Contemporary Art Center is located in the historic center of Foligno. The Center is located near the church of San Francesco and the Art Nouveau architecture of the city and stands on the ancient ruins of a pre-existing building. The Center was born from the will of the artist Getulio Alivani together with the architect Zamatti. The goal was to create a neutral and minimal space that could relate to the surrounding light and works. The exhibition rooms are on two floors and a terrace where the works of the museum collection are arranged. Instead, the ground floor is home to temporary exhibitions and cultural events, conferences and screenings. The collection of works is the result of numerous donations and acquisitions and includes 36 works by artists who have exhibited in the Center over the years. The exhibition is conceived in chronological and thematic order. Among the most famous artists you can find: Basilico Gabriele, Nitsch Hermann, Terragni Giuseppe, Ryan Virginia, Rinaldi Eleonora and many others.
