The Camden Art Center is a cultural and exhibition space in the eclectic neighborhood of Camden, London, born in what was once a library.
The area was therefore born as a meeting and training place both for artists, especially those of the new generation, and for art lovers.
Performances, exhibitions, events, artist residencies and events are regularly held there, often in collaboration with schools, universities or associations of various kinds.
At the center of the activities of the Camden Art Center there is always the visitor who is invited to take part in the first person in each initiative with the hope of creating a lasting bond. During its fifty years of activity, the Camden Art Center has always worked with an eye to the future and avant-garde, also anticipating the times. There was no lack of support for both national and international artists who had the opportunity to exhibit in the spaces of the center: Martin Creed, Kerry James Marshall, Kara Walker, Sophie Calle, Yinka Shonibare, Mike Nelson and Mary Heilmann.
