The Collezione Giancarlo e Danna Olgiati is one of the most important collections of contemporary art in Switzerland, located in the heart of Lugano. Open to the public since 2012, the collection is closely linked to LAC (Lugano Arte e Cultura) and offers a unique journey through over a century of modern and contemporary art.
The permanent collection includes works by great international masters such as Andy Warhol, Basquiat, Lucio Fontana, Piero Manzoni, Enrico Castellani, and Alighiero Boetti, alongside important Swiss and Italian artists. The works range from Futurism to Arte Povera, from Nouveau Réalisme to Pop Art and to the most recent conceptual experiments.
In addition to the permanent exhibition, the Olgiati Collection hosts thematic temporary exhibitions, curatorial projects, and collaborations with international artists and institutions. The exhibition spaces, modern and minimalist, allow to enhance the works to the fullest, offering visitors an immersive experience.
The Collezione Giancarlo e Danna Olgiati is a reference point for contemporary art enthusiasts and for those who wish to discover a rich and varied artistic panorama, within a prestigious cultural context like that of Lugano.
