"ncontri singolari" is the title of the exhibition A LIBRO APERTO n. Ø, a pilot edition of a series designed with an explicit educational purpose.

It is a brief adventure through the history of the book, with unexpected juxtapositions intended to provoke surprise, curiosity, and a desire to learn more.

An invitation to look at and appreciate the book in its physicality: from the dimensions to the material of the support, from imitations to the rarity of the material survivals of an edition. Some observations addressed to the visitor along the exhibition path constitute a further stimulus to reflect on the correlation that links the different aspects of the book in the history of its evolution.

A LIBRO APERTO n. Ø closes with the artist's book Onda di materia, with the engravings by Alessandra Angelini and the verses by Gilberto Isella in dialogue with the reproduction, in the form of a backlit panel, of the manuscript Ars sive doctrina de transmutatione metallorum from 1461 opened to two significant pages of the treatise.
