From 5 March to 28 March 2026
SHAPE AND COLOR Art and Feeling in a perennial partnership celebrates for the first time in a holistic dimension the work and artistic journey of Giuseppe Sardisco and Maria Pia Badalucco, detached yet intense protagonists of the Sicilian art scene of the late 20th century.
The exhibition - hosted in Milan, at the Matalon Foundation, from March 5 to 28, 2026 - brings to light a precious, largely unpublished heritage of contemporary art, restoring the complexity of two parallel and complementary paths.
In the rooms, one encounters the sculptures of Giuseppe Sardisco, nourished by a deep relationship between the landscape and the material that preserves its imprint, and the lyrical and intimate painting of Maria Pia Badalucco, where the everyday dissolves into a poetic vision.
The silent and fertile dialogue of two different sensibilities, flowing in an intertwining of forms, colors, and expressions for over sixty years of artistic production, between the studio and domestic life, between the everyday and openness to a universal dimension.
