From 6 September to 18 September 2022
From 6 to 18 September 2022 Casa degli Artisti presents Sinopia Sinopsia Sinapsi , an exhibition by the artists Alex Dorici (Lugano, 1979) and Yari Miele (Cantù, 1977), produced in collaboration with the Italian company GOTTIFREDI MAFFIOLI, curated by Marco Tagliafierro and born as part of the Arte & Impresa project.
The research and exploration of the material of nautical rope, developed by the artists Alex Dorici and Yari Miele, stems from an invitation from the company Gottifredi Maffioli - leader in the market for the production of ropes and tapes - which supported the artistic process in collaboration with Casa degli Artisti , through a period of internship and residency and which now finds its fulfillment in an exhibition open to the public.
Marco Tagliafierro, curator of the exhibition, underlines how: "matter expresses what constitutes the substance of an object, of a body, or the content of a speech and of a thought, even of a written text, the power, the extension , strength as a constitutive principle of natural reality. A material, on the other hand, can only mean the material necessary to perform or carry out a certain job, or the set of tools for carrying out a certain activity. The collaboration between an artist and an artisanal or industrial production system is fruitful if understood as an action aimed at explicating the latent properties of the material. Thus, art becomes an interface between thought and τέχνη (téchne), between an impulse that oscillates between the unspeakability of the creative gesture and technical, or rather technological, ability. Matter through synaesthetic and synapsic processes allows perceptual shifts. The strings set up by the artists evoke meanings of the metaverse or refer to the more concrete analogy expressed by painting. "
The project room hosts the artist Stefano Invernizzi (Novara, 1983), “a Super Realist rather than Hyperrealistic painting, the distinction is a must since traces of pictorial gestures remain. Invernizzi monitored Dorici and Miele's artistic work by pinning it in his painting which, as for the first two, alludes to hypertext and metaverse. "
