From July 22, 2025, the Royal Palace of Milan presents the largest solo exhibition ever realized by Valerio Berruti, one of the most significant and intense artists on the contemporary scene. With monumental sculptures, installations, videos, and a real carousel to ride on, Valerio Berruti leads visitors through the wonder of his works, on a journey that starting from childhood - the moment when anything can still happen - touches on universal themes that generate spaces for deep reflection, capable of speaking to both young and old.

VALERIO BERRUTI. More than kids, promoted by the Municipality of Milan - Culture, is produced and organized by Palazzo Reale and Arthemisia, in collaboration with Piuma and with the support of the Ferrero Foundation, which has organized an exhibition in Alba (open to the public until July 4) with unpublished and site-specific works by the artist, along with some preparatory works in anticipation of the Milan exhibition.

The exhibition project, curated by Nicolas Ballario, is a journey into the artist's poetics through key works of his production - such as the large carousel sculpture with music specially created by Ludovico Einaudi "La giostra di Nina" - and completely new works presented for the first time in Milan like "Don't let me be wrong", the large sculpture set up in the courtyard of Palazzo Reale with music by Daddy G of Massive Attack, as well as two new video animations "Lilith", with the soundtrack by Rodrigo D'Erasmo, and "Cercare silenzio" with the sound of Samuel Romano - historic voice of Subsonica - which join the previous music animations, among others, by Paolo Conte and Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Valerio Berruti has developed over the years a recognizable and deeply authentic language. Through the ancient technique of fresco, monumental sculptures, drawings, videos, and installations, the artist brings to life a universe populated by childlike figures suspended in time.
