From 9 July to 29 August 2021
From 9 July to 29 August the Civic Museums host an exhibition dedicated to Pina Sacconaghi, an artist from Monza who went through most of the twentieth century, her contradictions, her artistic currents, remaining fascinated by them and yet remaining immune from any sort of adhesion. enthusiastic, always faithful to a deeply spiritual vision of art. Vision gained after his studies in Brera, the frequentation of artists and intellectuals linked to the twentieth century, friendship with Anselmo Bucci. Pina Sacconaghi's painting focuses on a few themes: flowers, landscape, portraits, on which her sentimental, intimate, profoundly spiritual vision of reality converges.
Already scheduled two years ago, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of his death, the exhibition has undergone constant postponements caused by the pandemic. On display a selection of paintings from the collection of the Cazzaniga - Scotti family and the Civic Museums. The exhibition is curated by Giacomo Cazzaniga, great-grandson of Pina Sacconaghi and art historian - in collaboration with the Art Emisia gallery.
