Archaeological Museum of the Rock Necropolis

The Rupestrian Necropolis Museum established in the second half of the last century preserves the historical and archaeological memory of the Etruscan town of San Giuliano, a center on the outskirts of the territory of the ancient city of Tarquinia, from its origins to Romanization. The tour is dedicated to the phenomenon of rock funerary architecture widely witnessed in the Viterbo area, but which is characterized here by the monumental forms and the evocative stone landscapes, which evoke links with some regions of the eastern Mediterranean.
