The Archaeological Museum of Palazzo Varisano is located in the city center of Enna. The Museum is located inside the ancient Varisano palace, which gives the museum its name. The museum's collection presents various artifacts from the settlements on the hills of Ennese. The exhibits on display date back to the Bronze Age, the Iron Age and the Greek era. The objects were found in the ancient urban centers and in the necropolis. The exhibition in a chronological sense offers a complete and general overview of the history and evolution of civilizations in the area. For example, a series of terracotta of Demeter and Kore are of great value, testifying to the strong cult in the Classical and Hellenistic periods. The grave goods show many important objects such as Greek ceramics, oriental scarabs and metal jewelry suggesting the customs and culture of the rites of the nobility. The study of the kits has led to an elaboration of the social fabric and of the uses of materials in the settlements of the Greek age. The Museum is an important cultural reference center for the city and hosts conferences and seminars on the subject.
