The show

On Sunday 31 March, the Vercelli Book returns to citizenship after the Anglo-Saxon Kingdoms exhibition in London. Art, Word, War . With his return, between history and legend, the crossed destinies of the Vercelli Book with the Codex Amiatinus , the Ruthwell Cross, the stories of Juliana and Elena, the insular writing and the figures that populate the Anglo-Saxon kingdoms emerge. On March 31st, a virtual tour will accompany visitors in this apparently distant world which, thanks to the Vercelli Book, is much closer than it seems. To talk to us, accompanied by Timoty Leonardi and Maurizio Audone, the professors of Georg-August-Universität Göttingen and University College of London: Winfried Rudolf, Richard North, Christine Voth and Thomas Hall (with simultaneous translation from English).

To review the Vercelli Book for the first time after his return from England, there are two shifts: at 2.30 pm and at 4.30 pm.
An opportunity to rediscover the treasure of the Capitular Library of Vercelli, together with the teachers and students who every year attend the VSMEP (Vercelli School of Medieval European Palaeography).

Furthermore, on Saturday 30 March, at 3.30 pm , the Foundation proposes the thematic visit Pilgrimage routes, yesterday and today, between experience and devotion . A journey through time through the art and good practice of walking, to discover the pilgrimage not only as a devotional practice but also as a tool for discovering the world
