The Museo del Tesoro del Duomo winds its way through a wing of the Archbishop's Palace richly frescoed in the sixteenth century and tells the story of the millennia of the diocese of Vercelli.
It offers a half-yearly presentation of the Walking Tour between the sacred and the profane, a series of cultural events for adults and children dedicated to the discovery of the museum and library heritage preserved in the adjacent Capitular Library. The exhibition includes goldsmith's works, furnishings and liturgical furnishings, fabrics, paintings coming mostly from the Cathedral of St. Eusebius. Each work is linked to important moments in Vercelli history, not only on the religious level, but also social, political and artistic, for the long period from the 3rd to the 20th century.
The complexity of the collection makes it possible to propose ordinary and extraordinary events to the public, often carried out in collaboration with the city's museums, local authorities, national and international universities. In addition to the guided tours and educational workshops offered routinely to schools, visits aimed at the knowledge of particular periods or aspects, conferences, workshops and workshops for adults are often organized.
The Museum is also open to new technological frontiers in the field of conservation and study of cultural heritage, as it is often part of national and international scientific projects.
