Palazzo San Giacomo in Naples is the seat of the Town Hall and is located between the Porto and San Ferdinando districts, in front of the Maschio Angioino. The building is in neoclassical style and was built by the will of Ferdinand I of Bourbon in 1816 as the seat of the Bourbon state. The Palace houses an imposing hall of honor that leads to the noble floor. Here you can admire many statues and half-length sculptures, including "Partenope" known as "a capa 'e Napule". Other busts are kept on the second floor with the gold medals of the First World War, such as: Gaetano Carolei, Edgardo Cortese, Mario Fiore, Raffaele Libroia, Giuseppe Orsi, Maurizio de Vito Piscicelli. The Palace is occasionally open to the public to give citizens and tourists the opportunity to admire the seat of the Municipality of Naples.
