The Pecci Center also presents the first solo exhibition in Italy by Yu Ji , a Chinese artist who gained international attention with the 2019 Venice Art Biennale.

Yu Ji's work draws inspiration for her practice as a sculptor from the context in which she finds herself living and working, giving life to unfinished forms that evoke bodies and situations in transition and linked to everyday life. The exhibition arises from the daily comparison with the context of the city of Prato and the spaces of the Pecci Center within which the artist will produce new works alongside existing ones.

The exhibition continues the investigation begun by the artist at the CCA Berlin on the occasion of his solo exhibition in 2023 of which Hide Me in Your Belly constitutes an ideal continuation.
