From 3 April to 26 April 2026
The exhibition “Nature out of Frame: Journey through landscapes, passions, and people”, featuring the works of Giuseppe Longo and Lidia Moriondo, will open on Friday, April 3, 2026 at the Civic Museum Casa del Conte Verde. This exhibition is a visually and conceptually intense display dedicated to celebrating the beauty and complexity of nature, while also challenging its boundaries, inviting viewers to step out of the frame and lose themselves in the details.
The exhibition emerges from the dialogue between two independent yet complementary researches, capable of engaging with themes of nature, perception, and the relationship between the individual and contemporary reality. Two distinct languages find a meeting point in a shared reflection on how to observe and interpret the world.Nature out of frame shapes an immersive experience, inviting the visitor to transcend the boundaries of the image and open up to new possibilities of interpreting reality.
Giuseppe Longo is known for a classical-realist painting style based on a rigorous study of visual data. His work, supported by solid technical mastery and careful formal balance, navigates between figurative tradition and contemporary openings, maintaining the value of drawing and pictorial precision at its core, capturing moments with a silent yet impactful force. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous exhibitions, including Paratissima, the Promotrice delle Belle Arti in Turin, the Ecomuseo of Collegno, and the Municipality of Grugliasco, establishing a constant presence in the Piedmontese exhibition scene.
Lidia Moriondo, an artist with a solid artistic and pedagogical background developed through years of study, research, and participation in collective and solo exhibitions, explores a versatile practice ranging from acrylic to watercolor, from India ink to mixed techniques. Her work addresses environmental, naturalistic, and social themes through an ironic and surrealistic language. Her highly evocative pieces invite viewers to cultivate a renewed awareness of the relationship between humans and nature, transforming the gaze into a space for active reflection.
