They celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Museum with two major exhibition projects: the rearrangement of the permanent collection, entitled Ouverture 2024 and dedicated to works produced from the 2000s onwards, and the monumental installation Shade Between Rings of Air by Gabriel Orozco.

On the occasion of its fortieth anniversary, the Castello di Rivoli presents from Thursday, December 19, 2024 two new major exhibition projects: firstly, the rearrangement of the works from the Museum's collections, entitled Ouverture 2024 as a tribute to the inaugural project of the Castello, signed by Rudi Fuchs, echoed by the monumental installation Shade Between Rings of Air (Shadow between rings of air), 2003, by Gabriel Orozco.

Francesco Manacorda, Director of the Castello di Rivoli, says: The fortieth anniversary of the Castello di Rivoli represents a moment of great reflection on the path taken by the Museum, on the role it has played in the evolution of contemporary art, and on how this path traced so far should be inscribed in a future where we want to bring contemporary art to the center of life and society. With the various projects, we want to pay tribute to the vision that brought the Museum to light, but also to launch it into the future, proposing a model of Museum that is relevant today, capable of providing reflections on our era and speaking to a wider audience.

Both projects are part of the new program designed to celebrate the guiding principles at the origin of the museum institution and to project it into the future, with its renewed foundational values.
