Saturday 1 October 2022 at 6.30 pm, the Venanzo Crocetti Foundation in Rome opens its doors to the collective Fantasie diapproach , the first project of artists in dialogue with Venanzo Crocetti curated by Antonello Tolve.

Conceived as a polyphonic and linguistically Babel device, Fantasies of approach. Artists in dialogue with Venanzo Crocetti wants to be a moment of visual reflection (a visual essay) on the modus operandi of a great master of Italian twentieth century art. Nine important international artists (Ado Brandimarte, Giusy Calia, Marco Cingolani, Pierpaolo Lista, Giorgia Mascitti, Patrizia Molinari, Deborah Napolitano, Naoya Takahara, Narda Zapata), different from each other but linked by the same investigative force on contemporary languages, move on tiptoe in the spaces of the Venanzo Crocetti Museum conceiving works and operations capable of rethinking the broad experimental parable shaped by an important master of sculpture.

Specifically, it is a project that wants to start from the macro-areas that design and animate the museum structure - The universal sacred, Knights of peace, The art of movement and fury, Leonesse, Elegantiae and Ancient Men, Busts and portraits, Fluvialia and Ruralia - to give life to an exhibition made up of important and inevitable constructive short circuits, of silent and at times impalpable or even missed dialogues, of ideographic bridges between a majestic past (now eternal and immutable) and an increasingly open to ethical, aesthetic and technical choices, in many cases labyrinthine, of the presences that inhabit it. vitality of the aggregation, leads to shortening distances (not only temporal, but also interpersonal) and to create a fantasy of rapprochement between the happy ghost of the past and the brightness of the present.

The exhibition is accompanied by a notebook from the Crocetti Foundation with a presentation text by Carla Ortolani, President of the Venanzo Crocetti Foundation and an introduction by Antonello Tolve, curator of the exhibition.
