Archaeology, zoology, botany, astronomy, earth sciences, robotics: these are the disciplines that animate the Museum of Science and Archaeology, from the permanent rooms with precious collections to the important temporary exhibitions that delve into different themes each year. In recent years the museum has begun a gradual process of rearrangement which will involve all the exhibition spaces.
Visitors can admire some important collections such as the ornithological one, one of the largest and most important at a regional level, or the archaeological one which tells the story of the area through local finds from the Neolithic period to the Lombard civilization, dedicating a privileged space to the finds from the Roman Villa of Isera and from the castrum of the island of Sant'Andrea in Loppio. Not to be missed in the garden of the museum is the Planetarium with the renewed immersive and experiential exhibition itinerary, which enriches the already beloved structure for the astronomy lessons under the dome that simulates the celestial vault that are offered every Sunday.
It is one of the headquarters of the Rovereto Civic Museum Foundation.
