In addition to prehistoric and early historical finds, the Möhringen local history museum primarily displays evidence of local history: views of Möhringen, documents on the local, family and association history, objects from agriculture, textile production and Möhringen industry.
The local history museum was founded as a citizens' initiative in 1934 and was increasingly expanded through private collecting activities. With the incorporation of Möhringen in 1942, the museum was taken over by the cultural office of the state capital and reopened in 1962 in the new building of the hospital yard together with the district library and the music school.
