For the 12 years of the "Ettore and Ines Fico Award" that the museum celebrates with a sort of miscellany involving the various collections kept in its deposits - by direct or induced will - ranging from the Luigi Serralunga legacy, from the collection of works by Ettore and Ines Fico, from the Renato Alpegiani Donation, from the MEF Awards collections - intended for young artists - and, finally, to a part of the Museum's collection built in the years of the resistance.

From this simple reflection, the exhibition conceived for the 10 years of the "Ettore and Ines Fico Award" that the museum celebrates with a sort of miscellany involving the various collections preserved in its deposits - by direct or induced will - ranging from the Luigi legacy Serralunga to the collection of works by Ettore and Ines Fico, from the Renato Alpegiani Donation to the MEF Awards collections - intended for young artists - and, finally, to a part of the Museum's collection built over the years of its existence.

The works merged into the Museum, unlike what one might imagine, have been "assembled" independently in a century of history and have, however, points in common that attract each other in a magnetic way by similarity, assonance but, also, by opposition Obviously, none of the collectors mentioned have thought of the others, all have acted autonomously and anarchically.

None of them had thought of this museum "meeting" that would have generated a single and great whole still in progress today. As curator I gave a personal reading of this "sui generis collective" trying to explain to the public how the interpretation of works of art may differ with respect to the reasons for their creation and the time in which they were born, to be deciphered today in relation to others, confronting the evolution of taste and interpretation that contemporaries give, in the era of globalization , their meanings and the role they played, play and will play in international culture.
