After the exhibitions dedicated to two great masters of Italian and international photography such as Tina Modotti and Mimmo Jodice, starting from February 14, 2025 with Henri Cartier-Bresson and Italy and Riccardo Moncalvo. Photographs 1932-1990, CAMERA - Italian Center for Photography in Turin inaugurates the exhibition program of 2025. Also starting from February 14, 2025, the Project Room of CAMERA hosts the exhibition Riccardo Moncalvo. Photographs 1932-1990. The important photographer from Turin (Turin, 1915 - 2008) began to approach the photographic medium at just 13 years old, following in the footsteps of his father, owner of the Atelier of Artistic and Industrial Photography, and soon became a member of the Subalpine Photographic Society. During the interwar years, Moncalvo's photographs began to appear in important sector magazines and the photographer became one of the first in Italy to produce professional color prints. The CAMERA exhibition gathers 60 vintage prints, coming from the Riccardo Moncalvo Archive and private collections, in black and white and color, spanning almost 60 years of history. The exhibition and its related catalog are curated by Barbara Bergaglio with texts by the curator, Walter Guadagnini, and Andrea Tinterri.
