The show

Palazzo Ducale - Sale del Castellare

The Municipality of Urbino , with the contribution of the Marche Region and the National Committee for the celebration of the 500th anniversary of the death of Raffaello Sanzio, dedicates an important monographic exhibition to Raffaellino del Colle, a cultured painter, who elaborated one of the most original and authentic expressions of mannerism outside Florence.

The exhibition "Da Raffaello. Raffaellino del Colle", curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, hosted from 17 May to 13 October at Palazzo Ducale - Sale del Castellare , paves the way for the 2020 celebrations in Urbino for the fifth centenary of Raffaello Sanzio 's death (1483 - 1520), of which Raffaellino (1494/97 - 1566) was one of the most faithful and intelligent followers.

This will be the opening event of the new cycle of exhibitions spread between Urbino, Fano and Pesaro scheduled between spring and summer, entitled "Exhibitions for Leonardo and for Raphael", as part of the celebrations promoted by MIBAC for the 500th anniversary of death of Leonardo da Vinci in 2019 and of Raffaello Sanzio in 2020.
