European Cultural Center - Italy is pleased to present the fifth edition of the biennial architecture exhibition entitled TIME SPACE EXISTENCE in Venice. The exhibition will be open to the public from 22 May to 21 November 2021, in parallel with the 17th Architecture Biennale, in the offices of Palazzo Bembo, Palazzo Mora and Giardini della Marinaressa. ECC - Italy will organize two days of vernissage in each of the locations on May 20th and 21st.
An international group of 212 architects, artists, academics, and industry professionals from over 51 countries are invited to investigate our relationship with space and time, stimulating reflections in order to expand the boundaries of today's practices and the world. we live in. The exhibition will present a wide selection of projects ranging from conceptual representations, models, videos, sculptures, photographs to site specific installations.
Reflecting on the problems and effects of climate change, mass migration, rising sea levels, and rapid urbanization, the exhibitors ask themselves what can be done to improve our lives in a sustainable way. This year's edition presents projects focused on water town planning, green and resilient cities, the development of new materials, systems and innovative construction methods.
Some installations draw attention to the role of architecture in raising people's awareness of the living conditions of others and access to indispensable human resources. Solutions are therefore presented for displaced communities, discriminated social groups and minorities.
