From 3 September to 9 November 2025
The Giorgio Franchetti Gallery at Ca’ d’Oro and Venetian Heritage are pleased to present the exhibition dossier FRANCHETTI FRAMES restored by Venetian Heritage with the support of Pomellato.
Promoted by the Regional Directorate of National Museums of Veneto - Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Venetian Heritage Foundation, the exhibition sheds light on a fascinating but still little-known aspect of nineteenth-century collecting: the frame as an autonomous work of art.
For the third consecutive year, this collaboration brings together the world of high jewelry and the enhancement of cultural heritage, promoting a virtuous dialogue between art, contemporary patronage, and Italian craftsmanship in the name of beauty and craftsmanship.
After funding the lighting of the Ca’ d’Oro facade in 2023 and, in 2024, the creation of five display cases intended to house masterpieces such as Gian Lorenzo Bernini's terracotta models, Venetian Heritage and Pomellato have supported the restoration of some frames belonging to the Franchetti Collection.
