A great tribute to Livio Seguso, the brilliant Murano master of contemporary glass, whose works are recognizable for their very high creative quality, where glass interacts in an innovative way with other materials. Internationally renowned artist, Seguso has been a pioneer since the seventies in the use of glass as an expressive medium for art and continues his activity today with always new proposals.
Born in 1930 in Murano, where he still lives and works today, Seguso very early began his relationship with glass, fascinated by the inexhaustible charm of this wonderful material. In 1972 he participated in the 36th Venice Biennale, but his artistic maturity reached its peak towards the end of the decade, with the abandonment of any legacy of the Murano tradition to give space only to pure crystal, iridescent and ambiguous in its transparency.
