Emilio Vedova

08 September 1906, Venezia - 17 October 2006, Venezia

Born in Venice in 1919, he began to work self-taught in the thirties. Anti-fascist, he took part in the Resistance between 1944 and 1945 and in Milan in 1946. In the same year he was one of the founders of the New Italian Secession and later Fronte Nuovo delle Arti. He began to exhibit in solo and group exhibitions since the forties. Throughout his life he devoted himself to teaching with passion, giving lectures in various American universities and courses at the Internationale Sommerakademie für Bildende Kunst in Salzburg and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
